Amy Williams Dapice

Amy Williams D’Apice is an artist, teacher, and writer. She received her MFA in painting from the University of Washington in 1996 before beginning her teaching career as adjunct faculty for the UW School of Drama. Ms. D’Pice went on to become an instructor at the Northwest College of Art and the Art Institute of Seattle, working in both the Fine Art and Media Arts and Animation departments. Dedicated to community education, D’Apice continues to teach workshops worldwide, both online and in person. She divides her time between the United States and Chiang Mai, Thailand.

One of Amy’s favorite sayings is, “making a mistake is an opportunity for something wonderful to happen!” While providing strong foundational skills, it is equally important to promote self-expression and risk taking. Amy’s classes are instructive and inspirational! Students are encouraged to find their own artistic voice, working in an atmosphere of play and camaraderie.
