My interest in art started way before college. When I was younger, I used to watch cartoons and read comic books. All I knew back then was that I liked to draw and create stories. I did this for years and when I reached high school, I took every art course and weekend drawing class that the school offered for free. Just being around art excited me and I knew I wanted to have something to do with it. The notion to create art on my own became more of a passion by the time I had reached the 10th grade. My high school teacher, Allen Edmunds, took our art class of seven to the Philadelphia Museum of Art to see the 1985 Marc Chagall exhibit, the year he died. His work was so colorful and there were hundreds of works on display. That exposure to fine art was the moment I knew I would pursue my passion to be an artist.
