We’ll dive into layering brushstrokes, turning messy marks into stunning blooms, and playing with color to create those wow moments. Think bold petals, vibrant energy, and flowers that practically jump off the canvas!
By the end of this workshop, you’ll be painting with confidence, having fun with composition, and letting your creativity flow like never before. Get ready to loosen up, let go, and make florals your own.
Supplies:
Heavy Body Acrylic paints (any and all colors welcome!!)
Four 10 x 10 or larger canvases. If you know you work fast you can absolutely bring more!
FOR OUR PRACTICE: Paper surface or art journal - these could be in an art journal, smaller canvases, paper, etc. this is where we can practice and explore color
Variety of brushes (whatever you have on hand)
Fun Non-traditional painting tools to try (i.e. key cards, palette knives, catalyst wedge, etc.)
Sta-Wet Palette
Open Medium (This is optional, but I like to use this to extend the drying time of my acrylics)
Palette Paper
Oil Pastels
Paint markers (optional)
Stencils
Brush bucket
Palette knife
Baby wipes and paper towels
Tabletop easel (optional)
