The workshop will focus on mixed media drawing, painting and collage as a form of creative expression. Participants will respond to photo references and experiment with various materials to develop original and dynamic solutions. Expect to push your comfort zone to produce bold and emotive artwork. The session will include demonstrations, feedback, and personalized as well as group guidance.
The goal is to find a balance between between structure and serendipity, control and spontaneity, intentionality and instinct. Students will need to embrace the possibility of their mixed media artworks evolving unexpectedly and leading them to unanticipated destinations.
