Student Supply List

  • Golden Fluid Acrylics – strongly recommended for their transparency.  Heavy body acrylics will not work for this type of painting.

Carol recommends:

  • Azo Gold

  • Turquoise Phthalo

  • Quinacridone Magenta

  • plus black and white.

  • If you have other colors in the fluid acrylic line, bring them.

  • Surfaces - Surfaces cannot be any larger than 6” x 6”!

You can work on varied sizes of canvas and/or wood panels.  They are available in 6” x 6”, 5” x 7”, 4” x 4” and 3” x 3”. Carol will supply one 4” x 4” x 1” canvas for each student. You will easily finish one 4” x 4”. If you are a fast worker, bring more canvas/panels to work on. Please bring recommended sizes, as anything larger will not work.

  • Brushes – synthetic short-handled

  • ¾” or ½” flat

  • #7 round

  • one NEW small detail brush.  (You will need a detail brush that can hold a good point, not one that you have laying around that is all splayed out)

  • Gel medium, regular

  • The usual stuff:

  • short-handled nylon brushes (3/4” flat, small detail brush)

  • scissors

  • ruler

  • ball point pen

  • 32 oz. water container

  • spray water bottle

  • 1” palette knife

  • paper towels

Kit Fee:

  • $5 (to be paid to the instructor by cash or check at time of class)

  • Includes use of materials listed below provided by instructor.
